Whitetails banquet in Atlanta on Thursday

The Atlanta Area Chapter of Whitetails Unlimited will hold its banquet on Thursday. The banquet will feature raffles, auctions and valuable prizes, including firearms, outfitter packages, hunting and outdoor equipment, artwork and collectibles.

Olivet observing Good Friday

In observance of Good Friday, Olivet Book & Gift in downtown Alpena will be closed from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday and reopen from 3 to 7 p.m.

Onaway VFW Easter dinner Sunday

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 5857 in Onaway will be hosting an Easter dinner on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. or until all the food is gone.

This meal is free to community members. Free will donations are appreciated, but not necessary.

The public is welcome to join members at the post for a great holiday meal.
