Thunder Bay Audubon Society is sponsoring a free program at 7 p.m. Thursday at Alpena County Library, featuring Tom Heatley presenting “Birding in Tanzania,” about his 2018 birding trip to Africa.

Heatley, a retired science teacher, is from Harrisville. His hobbies of birding, traveling and photography have led him on many adventures. Heatley has traveled to all 50 states, all seven continents, and all but two of the Canadian provinces.
