Associates at Lappan Agency wore pink on Friday and dressed up a tree in front of their office on Ripley Boulevard. Female employees donated bras, which were dyed pink and hung on the tree, which stands alongside signs reading ‘Save the Tatas’ and ‘Lappan Agency Cares.’ The agency is collecting funds in October to support Friends Together in Alpena.

“We’ve all been touched by someone who has struggled with breast cancer,” said Theresa Barnard, customer service agent at Lappan Agency. She lost her niece to breast cancer five years ago. “We just decided we needed to do something.”
