PREP ROUNDUP: Hillman tops Rogers City

Hillman’s boys basketball team stormed back from being down 15 points to pick up a four-point win, 53-49, over Rogers City on Wednesday. Hillman outscored Rogers City 24-10 in the fourth quarter to improve to 6-3 overall and 2-0 in the North Star League Little Dipper. Hillman was led by Brenden Rouleau with 21 points and five steals. Junior center Evan Crane added 12 points to go along with seven rebounds. Battle on the Bay begins today

At Northern Lights Arena, 22 youth hockey teams will face off during the annual Battle on the Bay tournament that begins today and continues through Sunday. The first puck drop is at 1 p.m. today. An action-packed weekend will continue as teams continue in each age group: 10U (Squirt Division), 12U (PeeWee Division), 14U (Bantam Division), and 18U (JV/Midget BB and High School Prep Division). Hillman boys basketball improved to 5-3 on the season, stepping out of conference play to beat the JoBurg Cardinals 67-34 on Monday. Hillman was led in scoring by sophomore Ty Muszynski with 17 points and six rebounds. Senior Brenden Rouleau and junior Aedan Tucker rounded out the scoring with 16 a piece.
