Hillman Tigers varsity boys’ basketball team suffered their first league loss to the Posen Vikings on the road, with a final score of 57-50. The loss places Hillman and Posen in a first place tie for the Little Dipper North Star League (NSL) championship. The loss snapped a 12-game winning streak that Hillman had over Posen dating back to 2021. The battle for Montmorency County was won by the Hillman Tigers varsity boys’ basketball team on Friday as they improved to 11-1 overall and 6-0 in the North Star League with a 53-28 win over Atlanta. Hillman ended the first quarter ahead of Atlanta with a score of 18-12. Hillman's defense prevented Atlanta from scoring in the second and third quarters, ending the second quarter with a score of 29-12 and the third quarter with a score of 41-12. ATLANTA - The Hillman Tigers varsity girls' lost to Atlanta on Friday with a final score of 36-44, placing them 4-6 overall in the North Star League (NSL). Maci Klein led the Tigers' scoring effort with nine points and three steals. Hillman saw a strong performance in the paint from Abigail Oswald, who grabbed 12 rebounds and scored seven points.
