ARTHUR JAMES LaBRECQUE

Arthur James LaBrecque passed away Nov. 3, one day shy of his 87th birthday. Art was born Nov. 4, 1935, in Alpena to Alphonse and Grace (McIntyre) LaBrecque. After graduating from Catholic Central High School, Art began his Great Lakes sailing career on the Huron Portland Cement boats. He then served in the U.S. Army where he learned to perfect his culinary skills before returning to the cement carriers. Carolyn Jane Barrett

BARRETT, Carolyn Jane, 82, of Krakow Township, died at home on Nov. 6, 2022. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Freddie; two daughters, Dawn Barrett and Patricia (Carson) Buchanan; and her favorite granddaughter, Audriana (Robert). Per Carolyn’s request, no services will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLaren Hospice-Northern, 506 North Bradley Highway, Rogers City, Michigan 49779. Deborah Jane Rouleau

ROULEAU, Deborah Jane, 52, of Alpena, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at MediLodge of Alpena. Surviving are her two children, Rachelle Rouleau, Emily Klein; mother, Theo; brother, Joseph; and nephew, David Rouleau. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert. Cremation arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.

DOROTHY ELSIE LaFLECHE

Dorothy Elsie (Krueger) LaFleche was called home by her Lord and Savior on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022. She was born July 15, 1926, the daughter of Paul and Emma (Sauer) Krueger in Hawks, Michigan. She married George Albert LaFleche on Aug. 3, 1946. George preceded her in death on March 18, 2022. She is survived by her children Georgene Hildebrand (Jim Park), Bruce (Peggy) LaFleche and Joanne (Stephen) Gallagher. She is also survived by her sisters Esther Robinson and Betty Krueger.
