CATHERINE A. YOUNG

Catherine A. Young, 63, of Spruce, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023, at her home. Born November 18, 1959, to William and Carol (Stoddard) Wallace in Flint, Michigan, she was raised in Swartz Creek. Cathy graduated from Carmen High School, and Fenton School of Hair Design. She worked as a beautician and as an instructor in Linden and moved to Spruce in 2010. She was a member of the Barton City Eagles Auxiliary. Cathy enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, growing aloe plants, tending to her flower beds, and feeding the hummingbirds. Gary Reginald Rich

RICH, Gary Reginald, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, died peacefully on May 18, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McWilliams Funeral Home with the Nurses Honor Guard presentation at 6 p.m.. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023 with Pastor Tom Orth officiating at Grace Lutheran Church. Military honors will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Adolph Dave Schiller, lovingly known as George, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2023, in Sanborn Township., Michigan at 82 years of age. Born on May 29, 1941, in Alpena, Michigan, he was the son of the late Dave and Seraphine (Corthal) Schiller. Adolph is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Linda (Olmstead) Schiller, whom he married on Feb. 19, 1966. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Kristina (Mark) Duncan and Jeff (Carey) Schiller. PHILLIPS, Quinn Marie, age 36, of Ypsilanti, died peacefully on June 4, 2023. She is survived by her father, Timothy; mother, Dianne; and a sister, Breah.
