City of Alpena Water System customers are no longer required to boil their water before using, according to a City of Alpena press release on Saturday. The precautionary measure to boil water before drinking, cooking, and washing dishes was lifted Saturday morning. The City of Alpena water system lost pressure on Wednesday due to a water main break on Ripley Boulevard.
