Posen's Korynn Hincka

∫ Korynn Hincka, Posen

A four-time Alpena News Player of the Year, who played as an eighth grader and graduated as Posen’s all-time leading scorer and the leading scorer in the North Star League. Selected Class D all-state three times and led Posen to a quarterfinal appearance as a senior in 2014. Finished her career with more than 2,000 points scored and averaged 23.1 points and 12.7 rebounds during her final four high school seasons

∫ Karina Cole, Alcona

A four-time Alpena News selection, who started as a freshman and graduated as Alcona’s all-time scoring leader. Selected Class C all-state twice and led Alcona a district title in 2014; it’s first since 2010. Averaged 19.3 points during her career and went on to become the career scoring scorer at Alpena Community College.

∫ Taylor Fleming, Rogers City

A two-time Alpena News Player of the Year, who was arguably one of Rogers City’s most dominant players all-time. Earned all-state honors twice and finished her career as only one of two Rogers City players to reach 1,000 career points. Averaged 15.5 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks for her career, including averages of 19.8 points and 18.7 rebounds as a senior. Led the Hurons to a district title in 2018; their first since 2001.

∫ Vanessa Schook, Hillman

The 2017 Alpena News Player of the Year and a three-time Alpena News first team selection, who helped Hillman win three straight division titles and two district championships. Led the area in scoring twice and finished her career as Hillman’s scoring leader with 1,260 points.

∫ Jensen Tchorzynski, Hillman

A two-time Alpena News selection who was one of Hillman’s best all-time scorers. Eclipsed 1,000 points for her career and averaged 20.7 points per game during her senior season in 2013-14.
