BAY COUNTY — The Alpena High School cross country team raced at Delta Community College Saturday in the Al Kayner Invitational.

There were 26 high school teams and over 600 high school racers.

The teams represented Alpena High well coming home with 21 individual medals and 1 individual runner up trophy!

Sophomore Madi Szymanski was awarded the Varsity Runner Up Division 1/2 trophy!

JV: Katie Foust, Karlin Decker, Veronica Zaborney, Maggie Thayer.

Varsity: Jacob Kochanski, Lucas Manning, Hunter Hitzelberger.

JV: Nehemiah Rau, Matt Guest, Eli Rondeau, Tom Sheridan, Brendan Stepaniak, Isaac Kelley, Ben Poli, Hayden Allen, Teegan Birch.
