TBJH Track

The Thunder Bay Junior High track team traveled to Cadillac for a duel against the Vikings on Thursday. The junior Wildcats had another good outing and won 11 of 17 events as the final score was 75-64.

First place finishers were Kelly Stark in the 70 (9.6), Matt Fesler in the 100 (12.9), Drew Seabase in the 400 (59.8) and the 1600 (4:59.1), Avery Burrone in the 3200 (11:52.1), Gabe Bullis in the shot put (37-6) and pole vault (9-9), Riley Arlt in the high jump (5-2) and long jump (17-9). The 4 x 100 Relay team of Lucas Manning, Arlt, Fesler and Stark (25.3) and the 4 x 400 Relay team of Manning, Stark, Seabase and Bradley Thompson (4:09.2).

Second place points went to Bryant Mitchell in the 200m dash (29.2), Burrone in the 800 (2:32.3), Wenton Harrison in the 55 Hurdles (10.1) and Gage Tippman in the pole vault (8-0).

Third place points were Brandon Dingman in the 70m Dash (10.75), Manning in the 400 (61.9), Caleb Zaborney in the high jump (4-10), Adam Urlaub in the pole vault (7-6) and Kelley Stark in the long jump (15-7).

For the girls team, Jade Gray won the 100 dash (15.16) and the 1,600 relay team of Ashley Bridgewater, Tiffany Cherney, Elizabeth Krueger and Alexis Reynolds also won (5:01.53).

Second place points went to: Reynolds in the 1,600 run (6:44.21); Molly Dickinson in the 3,200 run (13:39.17); the 400 relay team of Gray, Tiffany Foster, Anna Young and Serea Newhouse in the 400 relay (1:02.49); the 800 relay team (2:12.38).

Third place points went to: Foster in the 70 dash (11.21) and 100 dash (15.47); Cherney in the 400 dash (1:11.78); Jacey Tippman in the 55 hurdles (11.43).

Fourth place points went to: Danielle Schackmann in the 70 dash (11.30); Macy Dickinson in the 800 run (3:09.38); Krueger in the 1,600 run (7:15.40); Mackenzie Linton in the 200 hurdles (38.92); Taylor Baker in the long jump (12-8 1/2).

The track team will travel to Gaylord on Thursday for the last regular season meet against Gaylord and Traverse City West.

TBJH Track

On Wednesday, the Thunder Bay Junior High track teams traveled to Cheboygan for a quad meet with Cheboygan, Sault Ste. Marie and St. Ignace.

It was a solid day for the Thunder Bay track team as they earned 12 of 17 first place points. Avery Burrone won the 3200m (11:52), Drew Seabase won the 1600 (5:03.1), Mat Fesler won the 100m Dash, Jadon Duncan in the 400m Dash (60.3), Kelly Stark in the 70m Dash (9.32), Drew Booth in the 200m Dash (27.2), Gabe Bullis in the pole vault (8-6), Bradley Thompson in the high jump (5-6), Riley Arlt in the long jump (17-1). The 800m Relay team of Booth, Fesler, Wenton Harrison and Jake Schiller finished first with a time of (1:53.2). the 1600m Relay team of Duncan, Seabase, Thompson and Lucas Manning also finished first (4:20.4) and the 400m Relay team of Arlt, Fesler, Manning and Stark finished first with a time of (52.2).

Taking second place honors were Thompson in the 55 Hurdles (9.59), Isaac Hines in the 200m Hurdles (31.48), Caleb Zaborney in the high jump (5-4), Duncan in the long jump (15-6), and the 3200 Relay team of Burrone, Zaborney, Isaac Kelley and Eli Rondeau (11:06.7)

Third place points went to Rondeau in the 3200m Run, Isaac Hines in the 55 Hurdles, Burrone in the 800, George Pilarski in the shot put (37-9) and Stark in the long jump (15-1).

Other point winners were Harrison in the 55 Hurdles, Bryant Mitchell in the 100, Taime LaFave in the 70, Harrison in the 200 Hurdles, Adam Urlaub in the pole vault, Bullis in the Shot Put and Manning in the long jump.

TBJH Track

The Thunder Bay Junior High track teams competed in Gaylord last Thursday against Gaylord and Traverse City East Junior Highs. The final results ended in a tie between Gaylord and Alpena with 48.5 points. Traverse City scored 77 points for the win.

First place finishes went to Gabe Bullis in the pole vault (8-6) Jadon Duncan in the long jump (16-4) and 400 meter dash (58.8). Also finishing in first place were Matt Fesler in the in the 100 meter dash (12.3) and the 1600 meter relay team of Duncan, Lucas, Manning, Drew Seabase and Bradley Thompson (3:59.1)

Second place points went to Thompson in the high jump (5-2), Seabase in the 1600 meter run (4:59.8), Fesler in the 70 meter dash (8.7) and the 400 meter relay team of Riley Arlt, Fesler, Manning and Kelly Stark (50.7).

Third place point were earned by George Pilarski in the shot put (36-2) Avery Burrone in the 3200 meter run (12:01.6) and Thompson in the 55 meter hurdles (9.08).

Points were also awarded to Gage Tippman in the pole vault, Arlt in the high jump and Bullis in the shot put. Thunder Bay Junior High will travel to Cheboygan on Wednesday and to Cadillac on Thursday.
