Flyers beat Wild 3-0
FARMINGTON-The Alpena Flyers won their second game of the 2015-16 season on Friday, beating the Michigan Wild 3-0 at Farmington Ice Arena.
Sam Charboneau gave Alpena (2-5-1) a 1-0 lead with an even strength goal at 10:55 in the second period. Sergei Merzlov added a goal at 6:36 in the third period with an assist from Hunter Tolsdorf.
Andrej Fasko completed the scoring at 9:17 in the final frame, scoring on the power-play with assists from Kyle Stevens and Nic Baranyai.
Alpena outshot the Wild 31-17 for the game and Hunter Myers made 17 saves for the shutout victory.
Alpena plays the Wild again tonight at 7:30 p.m.
