Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

You misread what I said. I said it was all on Reid and Obama, 100%. That's because they are the only ones who can shut the Government down. The Republicans can't shut anything down.

I did not say anything about what percentage of the blame he would get. Heck, some people voted for him between two and six times in a single election. He is like God to them. It is to these crazies he is playing to. His personal approval poll numbers are sinking like the Titanic.

Posted 205 days ago.

That appears to add up to 59% of Americans blaming the GOP for some or all of the shutdown, not quite the 100% blaming Obama RS mentions.

Posted 205 days ago.

CNN: "According to the poll, which was conducted Friday through Sunday, 46% say they would blame congressional Republicans for a government shutdown, with 36% saying the president would be more responsible and 13% pointing fingers at both the GOP in Congress and Obama."

Obamacare is what's killing the economy. It's also killing the 40 hour work week. It's also tripling the premiums of many. It's also causing many to lose the insurance they've had for decades. It's also causing doctors to retire early.

But, continue in your looloo land of make-believe there little camper.

The gang of anarchists that comprise the present day GOP threaten to not pay the troops they sent into harm's way unless the Keystone Pipeline is built. They insist on tax cuts for the wealthy while threatening the welfare of seniors. They get to institute policies the Romney ran on and LOST, while tilting at the windmill of the ACA, which IS a law, in favor of insurance corporations. These 'qualities' make the present day GOP unfit to govern. They are seditious extortionists. I guarantee that Congress will get paid, even while no other Americans get their due, without earning one dime of it. And health care by the way. And WTF does abortion have to do with these silly negotiations over the budget? What this boils down to is Obamacare goes or the economy gets it.

But the working poor who are losing their insurance and getting pay cuts, and paying fines on top of that...are they not "real Americans with real problems"?

Guess not.

Posted 205 days ago.

rshill7

Perhaps they should tell Obama not to shut it down. Republicans don't have the authority to do that. This is ALL on Obama. 100%...democrat lies, notwithstanding.

Posted 205 days ago.

Talking with some merchants near the Blue Ridge Parkway, which will be shutdown when the government closes. If the color tours are gone, many of them will be on food stamps over the winter. Real Americans, Real Problems, and the GOP is completely out of touch with them.

The cool thing about how Obamacare affects the working poor is that now they are losing their insurance and getting a dramatic pay cut. At least Democrats "Care" about them. All evidence to the contrary of course.

They should thank their lucky stars that they also get to pay a fine on top of no insurance and cut hours. That'll help subsidize those who also lose their insurance and have pay cuts right?

We should be experiencing Happy Parades springing up and down every town's Main St. shortly.

Oh beautiful for specious lies, for amber waves of pain.

It's funny that Boehner was so happy to get his job he cried and now he is crying because he has it. This reminds me of the Seinfeld show where everything evens out... and marrige:)

57 completely ignores the fact that he talks about God in every post he ever makes. Kinda negates what he just finished not saying doesn't it?

Him should listen to him own stupid sermon huh?

By the way, this section was justa rockin' while I was gone wasn't it? :-)

Boring, nothing to say losers.

By the way, Common Core American History starts at the year 1900. Does that make any sense? Sure, if you want to be certain kids don't know anything about American History.

Do you like where we're heading? Are happy days here again?

Oh that makes sense, Jaxsimian. I guess Boehner is really Heaker of the Spouse. We'll see whether or not he is also Weaker than a Mouse, after Reid and Obama shut down Fedzilla.

I do see one another thing. You have no argument.

I also see that Obamacare will levy a 3.8% extra tax on you when you sell your house. That way, you can pay, 7% real estate fee (unless you sell it yourself), 3.8% Obama fee, as well as capital gains (unless you sell it for a capital loss). Pretty cool huh?

Ya' reckon Americans have enjoyed being lied to repeatedly about Obamacare? We'll see won't we?

Normulligan. I still have a weeee spot on one of my ankles that remains unbitten. Come and get it.

nobo..Polls pretend to be scientific but often fail. Gallup did a poll that asked "Do you believe in God?" God being the subject of the question presupposes She exists. Plus they used the vague nonsense phrase "believe in" plus the history of being burned at the stake for saying 'no' all contributed to the biased results so I told them to ask, "Are you convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that some type of invisible god Thingy exists?" I didn't get a response and suspect they were conditioned to think some type of invisible god Thingy does exist even though there have been no varibles of gods found for peer review which leaves the correlation coefficient the same as for Bigfoot(not withstanding plaster casts of big feet or tall hairy bipeds)therefore, scientifically speaking, we both have to admit that as far as we can measure we are god free and Bigfoot free:)

Hyperbole from the king of hyperbole, at least in this small forum. Rshriil, a sophomoric, moronic take on the present day terrorist tactics, mostly from Koch Brothers fueled Tea Party clowns adds nothing to any 'conversation'. The 'landslide' Party of No LOST the last Presidential election. That is a fact. The present day 'Grand Olde Party' has become a joke, and not a funny one, Tonto.

nobo..Statisticaly speaking you claimed the null hypothesis of what picture I am missing and thus failed statistics and research design class. This the error christians, athiests and muslims make when they claim how many gods there aren't. Wise old hermits who are set for life can't be herded and are free to observe and judge the evidence.

Tip O'Neil shut down the government 12 different times. Nobody called him a terrorist, anarchist, or any of the other host of hyperbolic names being used today, did they? Why not?
