Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

"The Hill" Lawmakers discussed a proposal by Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) to let people keep their health plans, even if they fall short of the requirements set under the new law, according to another lawmaker in the room.

Landrieu expects several Democrats to co-sponsor the proposal.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) told reporters that he plans to sign onto Landrieu’s bill.

Sen. Mark Pryor (D-Ark.), who faces a tough race next year, said he is in the midst of reviewing a draft.

O'commie also signed another Executive order today regarding mandating "global warming preparedness" for public and private organizations.

Dear Moderates:

F*ck you. You've fu*cked yourselves.

FLASHBACK – Pelosi (2011):

"If everyone in America was very very pleased with his or her health insurance, and had no complaints, and had access to quality affordable health care in our country, it still would have been necessary for us to pass [ObamaCare] because we could not sustain the system." (Pelosi)

Why? Control, that's why. That's what commies do. That's historically, what they've always done. Why the surprise? People who thought the word "commie or socialist" was waaaay out there, no longer think it is. Here's your belated, where ya' been? Are you awake now?!

". . . Peter Hart, a Democratic pollster who conducted the survey with Republican Bill McInturff, called this a “Howard Beale moment,” a reference to the famous rant from the 1976 movie Network.

“We’re mad as hell,” Hart said, “and we’re not going to take it anymore.”

Privately, party strategists agree. On Obama, a Democratic operative who works with the White House emailed me to say:

The democrats own this baby, they own this crappy economy and they own the disaster that is our foreign policy. Problem is you can't get them to admit they own it. They will blame everyone but themselves.

The lack of leadership is astounding. The only thing this administration seems to be competent at is B-Slapping terrorists with drones. That's something to hang onto, I guess.

I, at this point, cannot believe that democrats still blame the republicans and the insurance companies for the disaster that they created.

They were warned, people begged them to stop, not one republican voted for it. That fact alone should have given the democrats pause, but no, their way or the highway.

They have been wrong on every front and just cannot bring themselves to admit it. This is what you get when you have one-party rule in congress and the oval office.

So, the website failure is nothing more than a symptom of a much larger illness.

The administration could not, after 2.5 years and $500,000,000.00, even get the enrollment portal operational.

The policy and regulatory issues were not thought out, the potential consequences were not even considered.

The facts regarding your ability to keep what you have if you like it were, it now appears, knowingly misrepresented. The administration knew as early as 2010 that not only the individual market participants but the small and medium sized employer participants were going to lose their plans by the end of 2013.

They knew it and they lied about it.

With regard to the Blue Cross plan, I will bet that you will spend more with WAY larger deductibles and co pays. I think the BCBS went to 10K per year for a family and 4800 for individual. That is double what my current plan has.

I note the period because it seems my left leaning friends have no clue what it is. "...you can keep your plan, PERIOD"!

You had better look twice a "accepted pretty much everywhere" also.

Your new plan will be a HMO or PPO. <- That's a PERIOD.

hville is living in OZ.

I don't have any friends or business associates that enjoy their socialized systems. That would include Canada, UK, France and my brother in law in the Netherlands.

Keep dreamin' hville. You will never get to socialized healthcare in the U.S. as long as more than 50% of the people oppose it. Won't happen.

Truth notwithstanding too.

Posted 174 days ago.

We'll get there. In the meantime, being self-employed, I'll get a new Blue Cross plan and save a ton of money in the bargain. Accepted virtually everywhere.

Posted 174 days ago.

Yup,a lot of problems, even going beyond the website problems. Should have gone to expanding Medicare to every US citizen from birth, but that would have been (gasp!) socialized medicine! Oh no! I have Canadian friends who think our system is the goofiest thing ever. They, and most of the rest of the industrialized world have lower costs and better results. Been that way for some time, insurance company propaganda not withstanding.
