ROGERS CITY - A Millersburg man facing charges of sexual crimes stood mute in circuit court Monday.

David Wayne Parker stood mute to 15 felony charges involving allegations of making child abusive material, second-degree criminal sexual conduct and using a computer to commit a crime. His case will come before Judge Scott Pavlich again on Jan. 7 when Dan Vogler, his attorney, will tell the court how Parker wishes to proceed.

According to a criminal complaint dated Nov. 21, Parker , 48, is accused of 11 counts of child sexually abusive activity, each a felony carrying a maximum sentence of 20 years incarceration, a $100,000 fine or both. Three of the five witnesses on the complaint are unnamed children, two aged seven and one aged eight. Parker is accused of three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving one of the unnamed witnesses, each count carrying a maximum 15-year sentence and lifetime electronic monitoring.
