Thomas Szymanski

SZYMANSKI, Thomas John, 68, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland, Calif., after a strong battle with lung cancer.

He is survived by his children, David (Tiffania) Szymanski of California, Jeffery Szymanski of California, Gregory (Monique) Szymanski of Arizona, and Catherine (Jonathan) Selhorst of California; six grandchildren; four brothers, Jim (Kristen) of Detroit, Bill (Vicki) Szymanski of Nevada, Bob (Pat) of Alpena, and Dan (Cindy) of Ossineke; a sister, Jane Jones of Alpena; a sister-in-law Nancy Szymanski of Eaton Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Szymanski is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Military honors will be accorded him by VFW Alpena Post 2496 at 6 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gerald Okoli officiating.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
