DETROIT (AP) — Flooding caused by an apparent water main break has inundated streets in a several block area of southwest Detroit.
The break was reported Tuesday morning.
Video from the scene shows water bubbling up from underground near a building and a taxi cab stranded in the water in one street. A construction vehicle was used Tuesday morning to push a Detroit police car from the water. No injuries were reported.
Water main breaks have been common in Detroit amid the persistent cold. On Friday, street flooding caused by a water main break on the city's east side left several vehicles stuck in water and ice, prompting a rescue by police officers on construction equipment.
