This Christmas Tree Stand project is an excellent example of how local businesses and high school teachers can partner in small communities to give students 21st century skills! The students learned a lot more than welding skills...things about themselves, why other subjects (math) are important, future career options, etc. Learning like this doesn't happen in larger communities! Congratulations!
