Who will stop the bouncing ball on parking?

The ball started bouncing with a meeting with the city manager, Sept. 28. Then I spoke to the city council next. They referred it to the DDA parking committee. After their meeting they recommended to city council that an escalating fine structure be put in place and to remove parking on downtown streets at night year round. City council rejected that recommendation; they thought paying for parking may be the way to go. They sent it back to the DDA parking committee for further study.

I feel the parking committee made the right decision. It’s never been about making residents and visitors to our city pay for parking, it’s to remove the few who break the law daily in the downtown. As it stands today, businesses lose sales daily, residents and visitors to the downtown drive around looking for a place to park.

My question is who will stop this bouncing ball?
