Partridge Point should be kept natural
People have visited Partridge Point for years and enjoyed the natural beauty. Recently, the DNR and a private organization have disrupted this area trying to make it a park. Many of us bought homes or built out here to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. What they call a park — actually just a party spot big enough for a couple cars — is disrupting our neighborhood with reckless driving, drug and alcohol abuse, litter including alcohol containers, fast food bags and the hypodermic needles.
The partiers have set the woods on fire a couple times already, have poisoned a neighbor’s dog with discarded drugs, have skidded by pedestrians, run off the road, causing damage, driven through lawns and ditches, causing huge ruts.
The DNR needs to assign a ranger to the park or close it down and let people enjoy the natural beauty like they have for years. Return it — and our neighborhood — to the way it was before this ill-conceived idea started. Keep it natural.
