Support of God, abortion don’t go together

Since 1973, 63 million innocent defenseless babies have been murdered. That is 10 times the number of Jews lost in the 1940s Holocaust.

We have a President and House Leader — both of them Catholics — both support abortion and extreme partial birth abortion, where the child is pulled to pieces, minutes before its birth.

I can’t support that and still claim to believe in God.

According to statistics, 36% of practicing Catholics support a woman’s right to abortion and to 69% among non-practicing Catholics. Shame on us. Shame on us.

Legalized or not, murder is murder in the eyes of God and we well be held accountable for it. There is no escaping the price we will have to pay before God.

A society can’t sink any lower than when it begins killing its young and when religious people, God-fearing people, people like you and me don’t do everything we can to stop it, we are complicit with murder. We are guilty of murder.

I cannot see how people can claim to believe in God — and be joined to Christ and draw life from him — and at the same time support the extermination of infants before they have had a chance to draw their first independent breath of life.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.”

The Lord certainly will hold us accountable for the deaths of millions of the unborn.

I am reminded that faith in God means nothing — unless we are truly willing to live that faith in our daily lives and that means putting God and his will and obedience to his commandments before everything else — yes, even before politics and what politics tells us is ok.

God help us all.
