I am not anyone’s judge, but our God will be

This letter is a response to the article “‘Here I am. This is me. Get over it.'”

I was just wondering when Heterosexual Week or Abstinence Month was going to be celebrated? Adultery, fornication, bestiality and pedophilia (which some of them are illegal but still sexual choices) are also not celebrated.

Each one of us make sexual choices every day. These are personal choices that do not need to be shared with others, glorified in the newspaper, or pushed to be accepted by the media. I want to say I am glad you are here as an individual. You are very important in the eyes of God. You are loved by Him. John 3:16 tells us that Jesus gave His life so you could know Him and be His child. He came to Earth so that no one would perish but could have a personal relationship with Him and have eternal life.

The Bible is a very good resource to study. Believe it or not, God’s word talks about sexual choice. Just a few: adultery, Exodus 20:14, fornication, Acts 15:20, homosexuality, Romans 1:26-32, heterosexuality, Genesis 2:24. God even destroyed whole cities because of sexual sin (Genesis 19:1-29).

No matter how many rallies, articles, or parades one may have, that doesn’t make sexual practices that go against God’s word right. Just because someone doesn’t condone ungodly practices doesn’t mean they don’t love you. It’s actually the opposite. They care enough to warn you of ungodly lifestyles and the dangerous consequences that God explains in His word. One day, we will all stand before God our creator and give an account of our life’s choices. The Bible will be the only book we will be judged by.

I do not stand as anyone’s judge, BUT GOD WILL.

TAMMY HENKEL,

Herron
