The Alpena League of Women Voters is urging a “yes” vote on the Youth and Recreation Renewal Millage. After studying recreation, the League came to a consensus that recreation in the area should have coordination of functions and facilities throughout the Alpena area. These needs will be met by a “yes” vote on the current Recreation Renewal Millage Proposal. The League position, based on previous study and member agreement, states that recreation in the area should have coordination of functions and facilities throughout the Alpena area. A “yes” vote on the Youth and Recreation Millage Renewal proposal would help meet these needs.

Although the League supports issues we have studied, we are proud to continue our almost 100-year-old practice of never supporting nor opposing candidates or political parties.
