Slow down and count your blessings
As we head into Thanksgiving in the days ahead, let’s take the time to slow down and reflect on where we’ve been, where we are now, and where we want to be tomorrow.
And as we reflect on those things, let all of us also give thanks for the many blessings that we have experienced this past year.
We understand that, in some homes, there has been heartache, frustration and disappointment. Finding a silver lining is harder than normal this Thanksgiving. Even still, all of us should, if we stop and ponder it for awhile, have something to be thankful for in the week ahead.
Thursday will be a day for peace, relaxation, and family.
We hope readers stop and take the time to enjoy the beauty and meaning of Thanksgiving this coming week.
It’s so easy to get caught up in all the “hustle and bustle” of holiday decorating, gift wrapping, baking, etc., that comes after. Unfortunately, with all that stress we bring on ourselves, sometimes the push toward Christmas seems more a chore than a blessing.
This year, our hope for each of you is to slow down and smell the cinnamon, starting with the pumpkin pie Thanksgiving day and continuing with the hot cocoa in the weeks ahead.
