Stamas, Allor make sure area residents’ voices are heard

Area residents want to make sure their voice is being heard in Lansing. Having the interests of Northeast Michigan promoted is important to them.

Thus, they want the people they send to represent them in the legislature to do their job and be there when votes are being taken.

This past year, with State Sen. Jim Stamas, R-Midland, and State Rep. Sue Allor, R- Wolverine, area residents got their money’s worth.

Both legislators voted 100 percent of the time on every piece of legislation that came before their respective bodies.

Excluding procedural votes, the Senate voted 570 times and the House voted 511 times for a total of 1,081 roll call votes by the entire legislature. And Stamas and Allor participated in all of them.

We are pleased that our legislators take their job seriously and understand it is important to be an active participant in the legislative process.

Stamas and Allor should be congratulated for their dedication. Many of their peers cannot boast of a similar perfect voting record.

We appreciate the two, and feel confident our readers do as well.
