Warm welcome to visiting Rotarians

Alpena, and all of Northeast Michigan, extends a welcome to visiting Rotarians this weekend.

Representatives from 28 Michigan clubs and their families will be in town as part of the Rotary District 6310’s annual conference. During their stay the group will of course focus on presentations related to Rotary, but they also will be able to get “out and about” throughout the region.

This is certainly an opportunity for area residents and businesses to shine and showcase the community’s many assets. Hospitality is an important aspect of the region’s economic base, and community members always seem to enjoy being helpful and friendly.

Last month it was the Lions who were in town. Today and Saturday it is Rotary. In the future it will be one of many different clubs, organizations or groups scheduled to arrive and visit later this spring, summer and fall.

Let’s all do our part to roll out the red carpet for these visitors and make their stay a memorable one.
