RONALD WAYNE GUNDERMAN

Ronald Wayne Gunderman, 80, of Alpena passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at his home. He was a kind and caring man that will be deeply missed. Wayne was born on May 18, 1940 to the late Ronald and Margaret (Lord) Gunderman in Manistique, Michigan. Immediately after graduating from Manistique High School, Wayne went on to attend Michigan Tech University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in engineering. He worked as a Civil Engineer for the State of Michigan for over 30 years until his retirement. Wayne was also a very dedicated caregiver to his wife for many years and especially to his daughter Laura for 48 years. He enjoyed rescuing animals, loved the lake, and was a loyal Detroit Tigers and Green Bay Packers fan. What brought Wayne the most joy in life was being with and caring for his family.
