WILLIAM JOHN DACEY

William was born in Detroit on March 4, 1929 to the late Daniel and Marie (Cox) Dacey. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and married Mary Lou Poirer on Jan. 23, 1959. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2018. He retired from Huron Distributors, was a member of St. Bernard Church, Alpena Moose Lodge and enjoyed watching sports.

Surviving are four children, Mary Katherine (Charles) Scafidi, William (Kris) Dacey, Christopher (Marge) Dacey, Dennis (Amy) Dacey, eight grandchildren, Charles, Brian, Patrick, & Joseph Scafidi, Elijah, Christopher, Sarah, Brendan, and Hannah Dacey, two great-grandchildren, Kaden & Elijani Dacey, brother, Patrick Dacey, sister, Marge Diebel, several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dacey was preceded in death by a son, Brian, grandson, Taylor and a brother, Daniel.

Visitation will take place on Thursday at the Bannan Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will continue at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 2 p.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Muszkiewicz officiating. For those unable to attend, Mass will be streamed at bannanfuneralhome.com.
