SALLY CHARLENE OKHUYSEN

Sally Charlene Anderson was born June 7, 1941 to the late Lloyd and Leta (Bean) Anderson. Sally retired from the United States Postal Service and enjoyed volunteering for the Alpena Garden Club and the Besser Museum. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all that loved her. Sally enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, playing cards, the Mackinaw Bridge walk and traveling, there wasn’t a sewing project she couldn’t do.

Surviving are children, Leta (Heath) and Jeff O’Connor, Michael Heath; stepson, Scott and Dayna Okhuysen; grandchildren, Sean and Patrick O’Connor, Rachel and Garrett Heath, stepgrandchildren, Samatha and Matthew Okhuysen; great-grandchildren, Maxwell O’Connor, stepgreat-grandchild, Winry Okhuysen; siblings, Terry and Donna Anderson and Carl and Carolyn Anderson; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Okhuyson was preceded in death by a brother, Jerome (Linda) Anderson.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. A private celebration of Sally’s life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Besser Museum or the Huron Humane Society.
