MARY M. KLIMCZAK

Mary M. Klimczak, 89, of Alpena passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at home with her family.

Mary Marilyn Maurer was born in Alpena on April 26, 1931 to the late Otto and Annabelle (LeFave) Maurer. On Nov. 26, 1949, she married Edward Klimczak. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2015. She was a faithful member of All Saints Parish, its Rosary Society and prayer groups for many years. Mary was the “face” of Model Printing Service (now Allegra) for over 45 years, greeting each client with a smile, and care and concern for their orders. Mary enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, and reading. She will be remembered by her family and friends for the unshakeable faith she projected to those around her, her countless Masses, prayers, and rosaries.

Heaven’s Gates swung wide open Thursday, July 30, 2020 to receive Our Beautiful Precious Mom!!! You will be so sorely missed Our Sweet sweet Mom … You have and always will be a gift to us. A kind and selfless woman.

Always thinking of others. Doing whatever you could for anyone that needed help. We can’t even count how many times in our lives how many people would say … I wish your Mom was my Mom … She was a lot of People’s Mom in so many ways.

Surviving are seven children; Edward Klimczak Jr., Mark Klimczak (Charlie Ballard), Glen (Jenny) Klimczak, Mary (Mark) Smith, Keith (Rosemary) Klimczak, Kraig (Linda) Klimczak, Cynthia (Joe) Schultz, 24 grandchildren, Sarah (Alex) Beegen, Andrew Klimczak, Matt (Christina) Klimczak, Steve (Jamie) Klimczak, Mike Klimczak (Ashley Vanderleek), John (April) Schultz, James (Linsey) Schultz, Lorraine (Tim) Landry, Marilyn (Brent Werth), Monica (Aaron) Rose, Ben Schultz, Neil Schultz, Rachel Szumila, Jacob Szumilia, Steven Fenner (Danielle), Tate Clewley, James (Lindsey) Schultz, Ryan (Dana) Clewley, Dan (Brittany) Fenner, Mike (Stephanie) Fenner, Kirsten (Jason) Humbert, Cally (Ron) Trandell, Travis Donakowski, Justin Donakowski, Dylan Donakowski, 30 great-grandchildren, sister Sister Rosalie Maurer, sister-in-law, Patricia Maurer, several nieces and nephews.

Mary Klimczak was preceded in death by her two brothers, Carl Maurer and Joel Maurer.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. with the rosary starting at 3 p.m. A parish prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Muszkiewicz officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
