SYLVIA MARIE WITUCKI

On Oct. 25, 1923, Sylvia was born to the late Frank and Clara (Woloszyk) Dembny in Posen, Michigan. Sylvia worked as a machine operator Fraser Products and later for Indian Head Industries for 46 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and an Honorable Member of the Rosary Sodality Group #6.

She enjoyed EWTN and the Detroit Tigers.

Sylvia is survived by her son: Alvin (Sue) Witucki of Alpena, Michigan; and three daughters: JoAnne (Art) Precord of Bend, Oregon; Barbara Baughman of Standish, Michigan; and Loretta (James) Burbine of Curran, Michigan; with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Delphine (Edward) Schemanski of Flint, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Elaine Zerbe and one brother: Raymond Dembny; one half-sister: Esther (Louis) Romel; three half-brothers: Chester, Ernest, and Cleo Szydlowski of Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Monday, June 8, 2020, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., with a Rosary Service beginning at 11 a.m.; with a Funeral Service beginning at 2 p.m. with Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to All Saints Catholic School or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
