GLEN A. RADKA

He was born March 9, 1929 in Rogers City to Adolph and Iva (Peetz) Radka.

Glen married Grace (Newman) Radka on Aug. 19, 1961 at St. Thomas Church in Cheboygan. They had a great marriage. She preceded him in death on July 19, 1989.

Glen was a Cost Analyst at the Besser Co. and retired in 1992.

He was an exceptional gardener who shared his bountiful vegetables and beautiful flowers with neighbors, friends and family! Glen enjoyed playing cards and entertaining family for birthday gatherings and during holidays.

Glen is survived by three children, Chad (Susan) Radka of Ocqueoc, Kyle (Cathy) Radka of Flushing, Dalane (Scott) Thornton of Sunfield, a sister Janice (William) Buerkel of Linden; four grandchildren, Cassandra Radka of Forked River, New Jersey, Benjamin Radka of Sault Ste. Marie, Shane Thornton of Sunfield and Shelby (Chris) Wallace of Morrice; two great-grandchildren, Caylee and Jaxon Wallace; and three nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at the Beck Funeral Home for immediate family followed by Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers City.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alpena on May 16 at 11 a.m. for family and friends with Pastor John Shipman officiating.

Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Hospice of Michigan in memory of Glen A. Radka.
