SALLY J. BEAUCHAMP

Sally Jean Markowski was born Feb. 8, 1937 in Alpena, Michigan to the late Walter and Emma (Kalisch) Markowski. She attended grade school through eighth grade at St. Bernard’s School. Then she went on to graduate from Catholic Center High School in 1955. Sally married Leo Beauchamp on Nov. 26, 1955 at St. Bernard Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1998. She was a member of the All Saints Parish and a member of the MidMichigan Medical Center’s Auxiliary. Sally started making quilts the year after her husband died and since 2005 was part of a small quilting group called, “The Material Girls.” They would make quilts for themselves and organizations in Alpena.

She is survived by her daughter Vicki Beauchamp; two aunts Mary Lou Holmes and Mildred LaDouce.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday at St. Bernard Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at noon with Rev. James Fitzpatrick officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
