GERALD WAYNE COOK

On May 18, 1939, Gerald was born to the late Dewey and Ethel (Powers) Cook in Detroit, Michigan. Wayne served six years in the Army National Guard and Honorably Discharged in 1963. He worked for the County of Alpena for several years. Wayne had a passion for classic cars and loved spending time in his garage on various automobile projects. He built and remodeled several homes, including his own.

Wayne is survived by his two children: son: Gerald Michael Cook of Littleton, Colorado, and daughter: Caren Wright, of Wayland, Michigan; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and close friend, Glenn Landry, as well as his many close neighbors and friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved companion of 26 years, Phyllis Greka, in 2016.

Family and friends will gather on Sunday, March 1, 2020, at Word of Life Baptist Church, 1900 N. Bagley St., Alpena, Michigan from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in memory of Gerald Wayne Cook with a Memorial Service beginning at 5 p.m. with Rev. Timothy Decker officiating.

Inurnment: St. Casimir Cemetery in Posen, Michigan.
