ARCHIE McDONALD

Archie was born on Aug. 20, 1941, to the late Adrian and Rosetta (Nickerson) McDonald in Onaway, Michigan. On Aug. 21, 1965, he married Bonnie Brenner at the Millersburg Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Archie was an avid gardener, always sharing his garden bounty and loved to travel. He always had a smile, was a generous man who worked hard, and was quick to lend a hand when needed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Bonnie and their two children: Tina (Michael) Meyer of Ossineke, Michigan, and Candace (Brian) Pleiness of Hubbard Lake, Michigan; three grandchildren: Victoria, Kurtis, and Ryan; two sisters: Norma Brigham of Alpena, Michigan and Emma Schleben of Rogers City, Michigan, along with several nieces and nephews.

Archie was preceded in death by five brothers: Lawrence, Lavoy “Pat”, Adrian, Stanley, Orville “Butch” McDonald and three sisters: Thelma Webster, Ellen Kimball and Laura Zinke.

Arrangements are being handled through the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home. Per his wishes he has been taken from the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for cremation. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
