WALTER GIBBS

Manny was born Sept. 30, 1941 in Ann Arbor to the late Walter Sr. and Alice (Slater) Gibbs.

Manny loved to tinker and could often be found tinkering on someone’s vehicle in the back yard at any given time. He was a hard worker whether it was working on vehicles, operating the stone crusher at the quarry in Bay City, or hauling lumber out of the woods. Manny enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a long-time member of the Under His Wings Christian Fellowship where he was always happy to serve as needed.

He is survived by three children; Sandie Martinmaas, Manuel Gibbs, Betty Jo Larson, three stepchildren; Lewis Pake Jr., Robert Pake, Mary Haske, his sister Betty DeCare, 10 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Manny is at McWilliams Funeral Home where visiting hours will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon with Pastor Arthur Fournier officiating. Online condolences can be registered at mcwilliamsfh.com.
