MARY CRICK SPENCE

Mary Lou Crick was born in Alpena on Jan. 6, to the late Eldon and Margaret (Miller) Crick. She married Hugh Spence on July 9, 1955. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1997. Mary was well-known in the community for her interior design and decorating business. She was passionate about creating warm, inviting and beautiful living spaces. Mary was a member of All Saints Parish.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Laurie Termaat and her husband Peter; son, Hugh Spence and his wife Gwen; daughter Angie Spence; son, Shane Spence and his wife Patricia; son, Brodie Spence; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Adams, Ashley (Daniel) Donajkowski, Jesse Gilfillan, Alex Spence, Cole Spence. She is also survived by C.R. Yockey and sister-in-law, Joan Crick. Mary’s five children always came first in her life and her children were blessed by a wonderfully loving, giving and remarkable mother. She will be greatly missed, until we see her again in Heaven.

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Sally McHugh and brother, Michael S. Crick.

Memorial visitation will take place at Bannan Funeral Home on Monday from 2-8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorial visitation will continue Tuesday at St. Bernard Church of All Saints Parish from 11 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at noon with Rev. Joseph Muszkiewicz officiating.
