DOUGLAS LEE DOWLING

Doug was born Dec. 29, 1974 in Alpena to the late Bernard Jr. and Sandra (Fifer) Dowling. Doug was a man with a big heart as he enjoyed caring for the elderly and was exceptional at doing it. He worked for over 20 years at Medilodge of Hillman providing residents with his dedicated care. Doug also enjoyed RC cars, and working on anything automotive. He was a terrific cook and baker and just recently took up cake baking. He will be dearly missed by many.

Doug is survived by his longtime partner Rhoda Robinson and her five children, his three brothers; Donald (Janean) Dowling, David (Sue) Dowling, Dale (Jennifer) Dowling, his grandmother Hazel Heussner, and several nieces and nephews.

Doug has been taken for cremation with a graveside service to be announced in a future edition of The News. Arrangements are in the care of McWilliams Funeral Home. Online condolences can be registered at www.mcwilliamsfh.com
