SALLY JOAN ANDERSON
Sally Joan Anderson, 81, of Alpena entered eternal peace on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at MediLodge of Greenview. She was born on July 14, 1937 to the late Oscar and Myrtle (Donnan) McNeil in Alpena, Mich. After graduating from Alpena High School, Sally would pursue her nursing degree and become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She went on to work at The Medical Arts Clinic for many years. Her compassionate care and need to help others made Sally well known and loved by all. Sally also worked for Dr. Dana Panknin for almost a decade and then went on to Great Lakes Heart office where she finally retired from over 40 years of nursing.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and after retiring was a volunteer at the MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena for several years. Sally enjoyed supporting the Detroit Tigers and donating her time to help others. Sally found great joy in spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved to travel and cherished every moment spent with family.
Sally is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Glenn Anderson; daughter Kellie (Kevin) Welch of Grandville, Mich.; stepchildren, Terry (Nancy) Anderson of St. Louis, Mo., Carolyn (Jeff) Toombs of Grandville, Mich., and Scott (Lori) Anderson of Canton, Mich.; grandchildren, Brandon, Dustin, Amber, Kiah, Sarah, Haley, Dominique, Scotty, Cassie, and Ryan; and several nieces and nephews including Anne (Bob) Lewandowski and Mary Kay (Ed) Hall whom were very close to Aunt Sally. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Donald McNeil and Helen Moulds.

Family will receive friends on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 3 p.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 5 p.m. at McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev. Seok Nam Lim officiating.
