ANNA BELLE WILLIAMS

Anna Belle Williams, 96, of Alpena, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at her home.

Anna Belle Couch was born in Milan, Mo., to the late Charles and Mamie (Lawrence) Couch and married Clark Williams March 7, 1950. He preceded her in death in 1983. During WWII, she worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” and later as a hostess and waitress for an upscale hotel restaurant and retired as a seamstress from the Lion Store in Toledo. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Surviving are a son Ronald Dunlap; granddaughter, Annabelle (Stephen) Cosbitt; three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Emma and Meghan Cosbitt; and a brother, James (Doris) Couch.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by three siblings, Loren Couch, Lawrence Couch and Charlene Baker.

Memorial visitation will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at noon with Rev. Joshua Schultz officiating. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
