DOROTHY MABEL GOODALL

Dorothy Mabel Goodall, age 81 of Herron, passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2018 at Hathaway Hills Assisted Living in Greenville surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born July 3, 1937 in Alpena to the late Wilmer and Stella (Stone) Spragg and married James A. Goodall on Oct. 23, 1954. After more than 62 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on March 5, 2017. Dorothy served as Wilson Township treasurer for many years, and also worked at the post office. She also farmed alongside her husband, and was a member of Huron Shores Fellowship. Surviving are her children, Cathy and Dave Egenriether, Donna and David Otto, and Andrew and Becky Goodall; grandchildren, Jason and Kira Bixel, Jeremy and Bridget Bixel, Niki and Chad Haynes, Natalie and Randy Williams, Natasha and Chad Walling, Hannah Goodall, and Lucas Goodall; and four great-grandchildren, Jona, Juliet, Christopher, and Kyle. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at Huron Shores Fellowship, 3558 M-32, Alpena, Mich., 49707, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Dr. Warren J. Hoffman will serve as officiant, and inurnment will be in Spratt Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Huron Shores Fellowship.
