DONNA I. SMITH

Donna was born June 13, 1934, in Lachine, one of 11 children born from the union of her late parents, Russell and Georgia (Desermeau) Black.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 66 years, Eugene A. Smith; three children, Dan (Patty) of Gladwin, Cindy (William) Bolley of Ida and Jeff (Tracy Burr) of Goodrich; three grandchildren, Nicholas (Becky), Christopher (Melissa) and Theresa Smith; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Arnold and Arlington (Faith) Black of Lachine and Harvey (Emily) Black of Great Neck, N.Y.; two sisters, Dora Ashley of Grand Blanc and Florence (George) Moutsatson of Lake Ann; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers; Francis, Lloyd, Dr. Albert Roy, and Ralph Black and one sister; Helen (Robert) Clark.

Golfing, sewing, cooking and traveling were just a few of the many things she enjoyed.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to McWilliams Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of Michigan or the Alpena First United Methodist Church.
