DIANE LOUISE LAMB- HENTKOWSKI

Diane Louise Lamb-Hentkowski, age 72, of Belknap Township, passed away Sunday Dec. 23, 2018, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, to spend her first Christmas with our Lord in Heaven.

The daughter of Herbert and Edna (Dubey) Lamb was born on Sept. 4, 1946 in Belknap Township. She went to grade school at the Heslip School and graduated from Rogers City High School in 1964 she spent that summer working on Mackinac Island. In fall of that year she married Dominic Hentkowski on Oct. 24, 1964, together they raised four children in Belknap Township.

Diane was a very hard worker she worked for 36 years for United Auto Workers at Black Lake as an office accounting receptionist, and was a Mary Kay consultant for the past 20 years. She loved shopping, gardening, her lawn work, cooking, bird watching and most of all spending precious time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church.

Surviving are four children Matthew (Laura), Milissa (William) Bannon, Mark (Frances), and Nathan (Corinne) all of Rogers City; 14 grandchildren Heather, Logan, Ethan, Jordan, Linnea, MiKaela, Hannah, Chloe, Christian, Hayden, Autumn, Nevaeh, Blake, Preston; a sister Kathy (Larry) Tadajewski of Flint; a brother Kenneth (Carol) Lamb of Clio, and a stepsister Rosemary (Alphonse) Glomski of Alpena; a very dear friend Jerry Wenzel; ex-mother-in-law Blanche Hentkowski; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother; Dominic on April 7, 2017; a brother Daniel Lamb 1966; three stepbrothers Earl Dault, Art Dault, Ivan Dault; and a stepsister Arlene Kapala.

Visitation will be Wednesday at Hentkowski Funeral Home on Dec. 26, 2018 from 3-8 p.m. with the reciting of the Rosary at 6:45 p.m. and a Parish Prayer Service following. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. Thursday morning at the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass following at Saint Ignatius Catholic Church in Rogers City with Reverend Father Rolando Silva officiating.
