Richard F. Guyott, 83, of Alpena, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018.

Dick was born on Aug. 29, 1935 in Alpena to James and Laura (Treaster). He was the seventh of eight children. Dick retired in 2000 from LaFarge. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alpena and a summer worshipper at Eden Lutheran Church in Munising. Dick enjoyed spending time at his camp as well as in the U.P. He was an avid ball player and Detroit Tigers fan. Dick also loved watching the freighters on the Great Lakes and the St. Clair River.

He is survived by his wife Jane of 34 years; seven children, Darrell (Linda) Guyott of Holiday, Fla., Jill (Joe) Cebula of Alpena, Jennifer (Roy) Brown of Middleburg, Fla., Julie (Randy) White of Jacksonville, Fla., Dennis (Senaida) Guyott of Jacksonville, Fla., Gust (Mandy) Annis of Williamston, Mich., Stephanie (Bryan) Neiman of St. Clair, Mich; 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his first wife Sandra (Miller) Guyott, an infant daughter Laura, both parents, and all seven siblings.

Per Dick’s wishes, McWilliams Funeral Home is handling cremation arrangements. Family and friends will gather at St. Paul Lutheran Church-Alpena on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. with Rev.
