LOIS J. DZIESINSKI

Lois J. Dziesinski, age 89, of Alpena passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Medilodge Greenview in Alpena, Mich.

On April 10, 1929, Lois was born in Alpena, Mich., to the late Obea and Florence (Eggert) Cain. She married Stanley F. Dziesinski on Sept. 3, 1949, at St. Anne Catholic Church by Rev. Fr. Frances Piaskowski. Stan passed away on Jan. 21, 2011. Lois worked in her younger years at Grace Howe’s, Vaughn’s, and Three Sisters and later in life she and her husband began a new endeavor with the opening of “Ceramic Corner” where she taught classes and fulfilled one of her dreams. She was also a member of St. Anne’s Ladies Sodality.

Lois was a loving and caring mother to her five children she is survived by: Sherry Lynn (Richard) Donakowski, Jeannine Marie (Travis) Jones, Dick and wife Kathy, Bill and wife Phyllis, and Stanley Jr., all of Alpena, Mich.; eight grandchildren, Richard (Jessie) Donakowski, Nicolas (Darcy) Donakowski, Aubry (Nick Langlois), Amy (Corey Code), Adam (Monica) Dziesinski, Janel (Greg Norton), Kyle (Lindsey) Dziesinski, and Amanda Jones; eight great-grandchildren: Cameron, Jacob Jordan Donakowski, Louis Donakowski, Eli Langlois, Rory and Nathan Dziesinski, and Caleb Norton; She is also survived by her one brother, Donald Cain of Alpena, Mich.; one sister Anna Mae (Bob) Marotta of Alpena, Mich.; along with several nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by one brother Ernest Cain, and one sister, Geraldine Piper.

Family and friends will gather for visitation at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Parish Prayer Service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial, which begins at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Joe Muszkiewicz officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Michigan, the Huron Humane Society, or All Saints Parish in memory of Lois.
