ROGER LEE COUSINEAU

Roger Lee Cousineau, 78, of Alpena passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at his home.

Roger was born Aug. 17, 1939, in Alpena to the late Arleigh and Alma (Mills) Cousineau. On Nov. 4, 1961, he married Judith Badder at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Ossineke. Roger served in the United States National Guard. He worked at Abitibi for 31½ years, retiring in 1986 and also worked as a beef cattle farmer, raised asparagus and raspberries, until his final retirement in 2001. Roger was a member of the Ossineke Eagles and Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Judy; four children, Gina (Scott Smith) Cousineau of Hillman, Rusty Cousineau of Lachine, Randy (Sheila) Cousineau of Georgia, Mitchell (Joni) Cousineau of Massachusetts; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five siblings, Richard (Cathy) Cousineau, Karen Behning, Sheila (David) Lyons, Trudy (Frank) Sauri, and Curtis (Margaret) Cousineau.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and continue at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Muszkiewicz officiating.
