DAVID NOBLE HAVELOCK

Dave was born in Royal Oak, Mich., on June 5, 1928. He graduated from Royal Oak High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army for a tour of duty in Korea. Dave received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wayne State University. He was married to Dorothy Helen Washnock on Oct. 28, 1950.

Dave had a career at General Motors for 40 years. He worked in the Graphic Arts Department at the GM Technical Center. And he was a very active member of the Alpena Lions Club. Dave had passions for family, helping others, sports, boating, fishing, hunting and retirement on “Golden Pond,” Grand Lake, Mich.

He was survived by his wife Dorothy; daughter Merri (Havelock) and Bill Johnson; son David and Katherine Havelock; son Kirk and Annette Havelock; grandson Michael and Victoria Havelock; and great-grandson Phoenix Havelock.

Dave was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. His ever-present sense of humor reflected his love of life. His legacy will continue on through those whose lives he touched.
