DANIEL SMITH

Daniel was born in Toledo, Ohio, on March 24, 1940, to the late Harold and Sarah (Dennis) Smith and married Ellen Olson on Jan. 22, 1966. He served in the United State Navy and was a member of the VFW Barton City Post 8135 and the Alpena Cycle Club. Dan worked many years at Midway Market, Sports Unlimited and Clem’s Bait and Tackle.

Surviving are his wife Ellen; sister and brothers-in-law, Kaye and Philip Lince and Cindy and Jim Arlt.

He was preceded in death by a step sister, Eldora Fischer.

A celebration of Dan’s life will take place this coming summer. Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Huron Humane Society.
