PRECELLIA MARIE MACKENZIE

Precellia Marie Burns was born in Herron on May 15, 1926 to Joseph Francis and Irene Mary (Rouleau) Burns. She attended St. Bernard School and later Hillman High School. On July 26, 1947 she married Dougall MacKenzie at St. Michael Church in Pontiac. He preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 2012. Pat worked at Fraser Products under government contract during WWII, a General Motors truck plant on U.S. Army trucks under government contract during the Korean War, and retired from Sears in 1985 after 18 years. Mrs. MacKenzie was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.

Surviving are three children, M. Denise (Michael) McClellan, Dougall T. MacKenzie, Joseph A. (Roslyn) MacKenzie; five grandchildren, Michelle (Joseph) Teel, Benjamin McClellan, Sean MacKenzie, Olivia MacKenzie, Ian MacKenzie; three great grandchildren, Paige Teel, Joshua (Rachel) Teel, Kailey Teel; a great-great-granddaughter, Isla Marie Teel; five siblings, Phyllis Kenyon, Evelyn Alexander, Carol (Terry) LaCross, Gordon (Judy) Burns, Donald (Mary) Burns; two sisters-in-law, Joan Burns and Barbara Burns.

Mrs. MacKenzie was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd (Carol) Burns, Ernest Burns, Kenneth Burns; two brothers-in-laws, Bob Kenyon and Donald Alexander.

Cremation are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.

Inurnment: Holy Cross Cemetery
