ROSE ELLEN BROUSSEAU

Rose was born Oct. 8, 1925, in Maple Ridge, Mich., to the late Edward and Gertrude (Melville) Brousseau. She graduated from St. Bernard High School in 1943 and worked at Phelps Collins Airbase, Wylie Loan, and the City of Alpena in 1951, retiring as City Clerk/Treasurer in 1985. Upon retiring, she enjoyed extensive traveling, gardening, sewing, craft work and various volunteer services. Rose was a past member of St. Bernard Altar Society and the Zonta Club.

She is survived by her three sisters, Mary Ann, Gertrude, Joan; and several cousins. Also surviving are special friends, the Kennedy family especially Debbie, Donna Hammerquist, Phyllis Kuchnicki, Darlene Robarge and Julie Specht. Also thanks to the staff at Tendercare.

Visitation will be at the Bannan Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. with the Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday at St. Bernard Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Fitzpatrick officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
